French through singing

Bonjour les enfants!

For this age group, we primarily run small group classes in the Bristol area, focussing on familiarising young children with the sounds and words of French, using songs, actions and simple vocabulary. The classes are fun and interactive, and have been designed to appeal to children of a very young age, encouraging listening and speaking from the first session.
Young children have a natural ear for languages and none of the self consciousness of adults, and begin to pick up French from the very first session. We reinforce what the children have learnt each week, so that the children gain confidence and the vocabulary becomes more and more familiar.

We find that hearing and listening to another language at this early age, makes a big difference when children start to learn a foreign language at school, as they already have an ear for different sounds and are confident and unfazed- and already have a few words! Learning a foreign language will be an important part of every child’s future education so why not give your child a head start by providing the opportunity to start learning French now?
